Cakes by Shelly is a small yet well established cake company based in Eaton Bray, Dunstable. Formed by Michelle Shulman in April 2006, Cakes by Shelly specialises in bespoke couture cakes for all occasions. Her love for baking and sugar craft skills has ensured her place as Bedfordshire's leading cake designer.

Michelle's passion for cake decorating began at an early age when she used to sit and watch her grandmother make wedding cakes and her mother make birthday cakes for her and her sister. When she had her own children the time had come for her to put everything she had learnt into practice. Her natural talent shone through leading to a flurry of orders from family and friends. With a gentle nudge in the right direction, Michelle turned her creativity into a career gaining on the way a City and Guilds qualification in Design for Craft and Sugar Decoration. More recently her designs have been awarded at the International Cake Craft Competition and the prestigious Salon Culinaire and Michelle herself was awarded the 2010 Self Employed Person of the Year Award by the Bedfordshire branch of the FSB for her business skills.

Cake's by Shelly is run from Michelle's home in Eaton Bray where she lives her husband and two daughters.
